When I'm bored I tend to bake. And to be honnest, I'm very easily bored. This is why I decided to start a blog... At least, I feel like I'm doing something with my boredom.
Let's take a look at today's recipe...
For this recipe (around 12 cookies), you'll need: 100g dark chocolate
40g unsalted butter
120g golden caster sugar
1 egg
150g plain flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
2 teaspoon cacao powder
40g icing sugar
The first step is to break the chocolate into pieces and to melt it with the butter until combined. Once it's done, pour the preparation into a bowl and you can add the sugar, followed by the egg and flour (mixed with the baking powder) and the cacao powder. Cover your bowl and put it in the fridge for about 15 minutes. While it sets in the fridge, you can preheat your oven at 180°C. Once you think your preparation is ready, you can shape it into little balls that you'll flaten a bit after rolling them into icing sugar . Put them on a baking tray greased/lined with baking parchment. Let them cook for a good 20-25 minutes.
Allow them to cool for 10-15 minutes before sprinkling the rest of the icing sugar.
I hope you'll enjoy them as much as I did ! Let me know what you think about them.
XX,
Candice
